Modway Furniture

This building began as a speculative building design referred to as ‘Project Terra’. Considering the building faces the NJ Turnpike, the Mayor of East Windsor wanted it to be representative of an office building rather than a “basic” warehouse. The result is a warehouse with large expanses of glass, prominent souring fins of concrete and linear shading devices. When the tenant ‘Modway Furniture’ decided to make this building their headquarters, a two-story Lobby became the focal point, with a custom stair to the mezzanine spaces. The stair features 3″ thick walnut treads, with glass guards to allow the most light to enter the space.
