Man-cave

Man-cave

This 1970’s era lake side home, when purchased happened to have a zoning approval for a garage. He is a retired Army Ranger with many remembrances that didn’t fit well with the decorations inside the house. Also, with visitors a place where they could be as loud as they wanted for video games and friends, separate from the house was ideal. The garage also helped to provide more privacy for the large deck from the street. A man of many talents paid for his man-cave largely with poker profits. We tied the garage design into the style of the house with a similar stone facing, and the entire house of 70’s era diagonal weather beaten siding was re-sided to match the garage.

This post was approved by the retired Army Ranger when the project was completed in 2012, with confirmation of the past approval in March of 2023. All photos were taken from a public street and do not show any private aspects of the home.
